• Take a Break From Harvesting in the Month of December

I have realized personally that December is the perfect time to take a break from harvesting in the Polytunnels. During this time you can yield your salads and aerate as much as possible. If you have extra time you can yield for the subsequent year too. It’s the perfect time to allow the beds to relax for a while before you start with your seeding and implanting again.

Take time to think for the cultivation year and think as to what went fine and discover what went wrong with other harvests and make the necessary developments or alterations.

In my opinion, it’s best not to seed anything in the month of December and delay till the month of January when the days are about to get extended again.

You can still yield some vegetables in the month of December like coriander, corn salad, dill, lettuce, oriental brassica salads, parsley, radish, scallions, spinach, turnip etc.
